ABOUT
In detail
Mankong Centre Integrated Health Centre has been the cornerstone of the local health system since 1975. Rehabilitated in 2020 through joint MACUDA-FEICOM funding, it now features two modern consultation rooms, an integrated community pharmacy and a minor surgery room.
Consultations are provided by a state-registered nurse and two permanent nursing assistants. Each year MACUDA funds restocking of essential medicines and organises specialist consultation days (ophthalmology, dermatology) with volunteer doctors from the diaspora.
The centre sees an average of 180 patients per week and serves as the first point of care before referral to Tibati District Hospital.
