WHO WE ARE
Experienced more than 25 Years in Community Development
MACUDA — the Mankong Cultural and Development Association — is a diaspora-driven organisation that unites Mankong people across the world. We invest in education, healthcare, infrastructure and cultural preservation so that every member of our community can thrive, wherever they are. MACUDA was created in 1976 in Kumba as the Bamunkumbit Development Union (B.D.U) and renamed in 1978 to Mankong Cultural and Development Association (MA.CU.D.A) with the motto UNITY IS STRENGTH. Its objectives include promoting unity, development, fostering educational, economic and social development, preserving Bamunkumbit Cultural heritage, eradicating social evils, and encouraging agricultural development and social amenities through self-help and communal efforts. Today, MACUDA has grown with many branches in the country and in the diaspora, along with Women and Youth Wings, and the Mankong Student Cultural Association (MASCA). Beyond its cultural and developmental associations, Bamunkumbit itself is a vibrant, traditional agrarian chiefdom, a vital part of Cameroon's agricultural network, particularly known for farming and rice cultivation on the fertile Ndop Plain. It stands as an island of peace and stability and a bastion of bilingualism, actively bridging communities. A strong arm of Bamunkumbit is also located in the Mbouda neighborhood, known as Bamoukoupere.

Challenges and Progress
Today much has changed, due to continuous sensitization, many sons and daughters of Bamunkumbit are more and more conscious and concerned about the necessity to develop their village, promote their culture, peace, and unity. Under the dynamic leadership of HRM Fon Ayeng III, there have been changes in approach, more engagement, and transparency leading to more concrete realizations. Much is being done in Bamunkumbit, though more is still to be done.
