CULTURAL HERITAGE
Living Traditions that Shape Community Identity
Mankong’s living heritage blends ritual authority, oral history, and everyday craft. The annual dance festivities in December and the New Year are the most vibrant times for cultural display, where expert drummers and musicians fill the air with rhythms that have echoed through centuries. The Mankon Cultural and Development Association (MACUDA) serves as the bridge for people of the kingdom worldwide, promoting cultural values through global conventions and supporting development projects in the homeland. Mankong culture preserves values of respect, family unity, community service, and traditional authority. Rituals, dances, attire, and community ceremonies remain central to identity and are passed across generations through practice and storytelling.
