ABOUT
In detail
In 2006, the Bamunkumbit Community Secondary School (BCSS) came into existence. The creation of BCSS was masterminded by the Bamunkumbit Traditional Council headed by Taa Tanila Chrysantus Akamanchua I in collaboration with others like Taa Ayah Anthony, the then regent of Bamunkumbit, and MACUDA. BCSS started with 59 students in Taa Mbah Muashahnkang’s compound. It had Taa Tanila Chrysantus as the board chairperson, assisted by Taa Bebnji Augustine. Mr Mandi Paul Ache was the Principal and Mr Nkimih Joseph Buchu as the discipline Master. The other teachers included Mr Sunday Geofrey Mbahfoambeh, Mr Ndeh Alexis Ntonakeh and Mr Mandeh Linus Sunday for the first year. Bamunkumbit Community Secondary School (BCSS) was taken over by the government and converted into Government Secondary School (GSS) Bamunkumbit in 2008 and with the pioneer principal called Mr Lesigha Isaac B. Two years after, in 2010, it was transformed into Government High School (GHS) Bamunkumbit.
